Rooster Rock Star Parties

These are star parties for RCA members and their guests and are not associated with OMSI's public star parties.  These star parties are held at Rooster Rock State Park located in the Columbia Gorge about 9 miles east of Troutdale, Oregon.

Rooster Rock is not available for personal or impromptu observing by RCA members.

There is no registration for RCA members for club star parties at this location.  Just show up and enjoy the evening!  You don't even need a telescope to participate.  Other club members are enthusiastic to share their views.  We observe from dusk to dawn.

Warm clothing and a flashlight with red light are highly recommended.   It can be quite cool after dark, even in the summer.

More up to date information about these star parties can be found on the RCA forum.
