Due to a major event at OMSI on the evening of Monday, February 16th, the RCA General Meeting has been moved to Sunday, February 15th at 7:30 PM.

The meeting will be held at the OMSI Planetarium and online via Zoom. Our featured speaker is Nathan Walker, a Ph.D. candidate in high-energy astrophysics at Oregon State University.

Pre-Meeting Activities (Sunday, Feb 15):

Telescope Library: Open from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM in the OMSI Space Science Hallway.

New Members Meeting: 6:30 PM – 7:20 PM in Classroom 4 and online.

Astronomical Imaging & Photography: 6:30 PM – 7:20 PM in Classroom 1 and online.

New members are welcome to meet at 6:30 PM before the General Meeting for an orientation and introduction to Rose City Astronomers.

The Rose City Astronomers was formed in 1988…

…as an organization of amateur astronomers dedicated to the promotion, education and enjoyment of astronomy among its membership and the general public. To support that goal, the RCA sponsors a variety of activities for its membership and the general public that are geared to family participation and focused on low or no cost so that all can afford to participate. In all cases, members volunteer their time, their own personal equipment, and cover their own personal expenses to put on a variety of activities. We are a 501(C3) non-profit public benefit organization.
